The import process requires special attention which you will find with Mardin.

Once the importer has generated a purchasing order or a requirement to his foreign supplier, we immediately get in touch with the indicated person and start to revise all the shipment data: date of pick up, weight, volume, part number, quantity, material or product description, keeping customer informed by e-mail, fax or any media he prefers to work, verifying at the same time the shipping instructions whether is airfreight or seafreight, critical or normal.

The shipping instructions may vary due to mutiple factors like cost, time, kind of goods and we help to decide the best transport mode once the customer has told us his ideal time of arrival.

Before the shipment is sent from origin, we make sure that documentation is correct and enough to arrange a clean and smooth customs clearance. We revise that all certificates of origin, descriptions in commercial invoices, constructions sheets and packing lists are correct

When we get the ok from the customs broker of the importer, we proceed then to realize the shipment, avoiding all the already mentioned extra charges and expenses like warehousing, corrections and demurrages.


According to the negotiatin with each importer, we are able to send all our shipments in prepaid basis so they don’t have to make any payment at the moment of customs clearance and we support customs brokers 100% for documents recovery, which allows them to save one or two days in their process.

At last, before the goods are shipped, we proceed to send copies of all documents to the importer and customs broker so they can anticipate the customs process, tax classification and calculation. This helps to detect any error or discrepancy with enough time to solve it.

We believe that the relationship with the customs broker is extremely important for the good development of logistics chain and we guarantee to treat them as the customer himself.
